Everything You Need to Know about Reptiles and Amphibians looks at the lives and times of the amazing world of our cold-blooded friends from all angles.
A fascinating read packed with information on habitats, breeding habits, as well as oddities, shocking facts and anatomy, this information is presented through close ups, quizzes, games, engaging text and innovative, high quality design, making it perfect for in depth research or a quick dip for fast facts.

I had mixed feelings about this book after reading it. I liked it because it kept my attention with all of the cool facts, information and pictures. But I didn’t like it because it seemed too rich with information and didn’t focus on one topic.
The information provided in this book is interesting, and I feel it could keep the intended audience’s attention well. It was presented in an interesting way in that each page was structured very differently from the next. Two interesting, intersecting pages that the audience of this book would enjoy had a travel blog section where the background was a Safari search page. I feel that the intended audience can relate to this internet reference. The information seemed up to date and accurate to my basic knowledge of reptiles and frogs.
I did not like this book because it had too much information on too little of pages. The information was too tightly arranged and seemed overwhelming. For instance, two consecutive pages are designated for “Top 10 Deadliest” reptiles. Instead of breaking this information up, or making it Top 5, an in-depth description is given of all 10 reptiles. I think the basic functionality of putting that many words on two pages should have been thought out more.
Overall, I think the message is that reptiles and frogs in particular are more interesting than we might think. ( )

One of the best scientific, informative yet creative books I have ran across in a while. The bold, invigorating use of text, font, size and shape aids the wealth of information this book provides. The book has almost a pop-up 3D appeal and sustains the reader through much detailed amphibian facts. The book is well put together and boasts many educational benefits and real lessons to be easily incorporated into any lesson plan.
