An introduction to plant growth, this book's unique set up is what is most interesting. Each left hand page opens up to show the fruit and how it is picked. The book briefly describes the process by which each plant matures and I believe is just enough to motivate students to research more on their plants of interest.

Being a gardener, as I read this book I would guess what each plant would produce. Based on the blossoms, leaves, and/or the structure of each plant I was able to identify each plant before reading on. This is a very well illustrated book and is written in poetic verse.

This book would be a great attention getter to lead into a lesson on plant growth. ( )
