Fiction. Literature. HTML:

Prayer is a powerful spiritual weapon. And the Yada Yadas are about to learn just how strong it really is.

The women of the Chicago-born Yada Yada Prayer Group have developed a strong sisterly bond. They've had a wild year full of joy, sorrow, and a healthy dose of laughter. Lots of laughter.

But just when life gets comfortable, things get shaken up. The sisters don't expect trouble to crop up so soon after the exuberant wedding of Yada Yada member Avis Johnson. But it happens, and sorrow meets their joy headâ??on.

It's the kind of sorrow that shakes up their whole town, their whole group, their lives. And it's not just sorrowâ??it's fear and hate and a whole lot of tension. A white supremacy hate group targets a local university and viciously attacks Nony's husband, barely sparing his life.

With their loved one balancing between life and death, the mismatched sisters get toughâ??really toughâ??and their prayer group becomes much more than just a Bible study. It becomes a lifeline.

Drat! I got out of sequence on this series, so having read the subsequent novel this one was not as riveting. It remained strong, however, and I continue to enjoy and "root for" all the prayer club members and their families.

I really needed to visit with the Yada Yada ladies again! They did not let me down.

I love the world of the Yada Yada prayer group, for each of the ladies life is not perfect they have their problems, but stand together to face whatever is thrown at them. This time the ladies have to get tough as they face the threats from a white supremacy group to interracial churches sharing the same church premises, wining the lottery, teen romances and unplanned pregnancies and the violent attack on one of their husbands that leaves him in the ICU.The ladies of the group still manage to find the time each week they need to get together and pray over all the hot issues in their lives. This book will make you laugh, get very angry and even shed a tear or two, but I defy you to read it through and not feel any emotion. ( )

I really liked this book because of the topic it choose to challenge. Good for Neta Jackson to take on the issue of racism and who better with than the Yada Yada Prayer Group.
Can't wait to get the next one in this series! ( )
