I was simply charmed by the conclusion, in which Mr. Bear turns out to have had Valentine's Day plans of his own! Recommended to picture-book readers looking for sweet Valentine's Day stories. ( )

Mrs. Bear wants to make sure that she gives Mr. Bear something special for Valentine's Day even though they always sleep through it due to hibernation. This book is sweet and shows its readers that doing things for people, including surprises, is always special.
