For absolute beginners but very instructive and easy to understand. ( ) https://www.htmlandcssbook.com/sample-chapter/ access As far as I can see now, this is a great book. Not yet discovered by Dutch public libraries! I found it via Justin B. This book doesn't contain everything you need to know about HTML-no book could. It does, however, contain everything you need to know to get started. It is written in a way that someone who knows nothing about the internet can still understand it. It's also a great resource for people like me who only occasionally need to use HTML and could use a refresher. The text is nicely broken up and contains lots of infographics. Elements and attributes are shown as both code and the resulting image. There is also a companion website where you can view the entire page source for each example of code they show. All-in-all, it's a great reference source. I love the layout of this book - it clearly shows both the code and the expression of said code. While I was already knowledgeable about HTML, I feel confident that this book will work for many coding beginners as well, due to my initial lack of experience with CSS. I may check out Duckett's [b:JavaScript and Jquery: Interactive Front-End Web Development|16219704|JavaScript and Jquery Interactive Front-End Web Development|Jon Duckett|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1394412494s/16219704.jpg|22198953] in the future.
"Every day, more and more people want to learn some HTML and CSS. Joining the professional web designers and programmers are new audiences who need to know a little bit of code at work (update a content management system or e-commerce store) and those who want to make their personal blogs more attractive. Many books teaching HTML and CSS are dry and only written for those who want to become programmers, which is why this book takes an entirely new approach. It introduces HTML and CSS in a way that makes them accessible to everyone - hobbyists, students, and professionals - and it's full-color throughout. It utilizes information graphics and lifestyle photography to explain the topics in a simple way that is engaging and boasts a unique structure that allows you to progress through the chapters from beginning to end or just dip into topics of particular interest at your leisure."--Publisher's description.
