After she loses her engagement ring and her phone is stolen during a hotel fire drill, Poppy Wyatt, discovering an abandoned phone in a trash can, crashes into the life of the phone's owner, businessman Sam Roxton, when she uses his phone to make her wedding preparations. I 've lost it. The only thing in the world I wasn't supposed to lose. My engagement ring. It has been in Magnus's family for three generations. And now the very same day his parents are coming, I've lost it. The very same day! Do not hyperventilate, Poppy. Stay positive! Poppy Wyatt has never felt luckier. She is about to marry her ideal man, Magnus Tavish, but in one afternoon her "happily ever after" begins to fall apart. Not only has she lost her engagement ring in a hotel fire drill but in the panic that follows, her phone is stolen. As she paces shakily around the lobby, she spots an abandoned phone in a trash can. Finders keepers! Now she can leave a number for the hotel to contact her when they find her ring. Perfect! Well, perfect except that the phone's owner, businessman Sam Roxton, doesn't agree. He wants his phone back and doesn't appreciate Poppy reading his messages and wading into his personal life. What ensues is a hilarious and unpredictable turn of events as Poppy and Sam increasingly upend each other's lives through emails and text messages. As Poppy juggles wedding preparations, mysterious phone calls, and hiding her left hand from Magnus and his parents, she soon realizes that she is in for the biggest surprise of her life.… (plus d'informations)

Poppy Wyatt is excited about her upcoming wedding to wealthy and famous Magnus Tavish, but before that can happen, she must find the heirloom engagement ring that she lost during a hotel fire drill. When her phone is stolen, she picks up one left in a trash bin that belongs to a business owned by Sam Roxton. What follows is a lot of miscommunication due to Poppy receiving and answering messages from that phone. As Poppy tries to find ways around revealing the loss of her engagement ring, she suffers doubts about her upcoming marriage.

I've Got Your Number might appear to be a whacky rom-com by some, but for me, it wasn't funny or romantic. Poppy is an unlikable character that sticks her nose into Sam's business, while she lies to Magnus and his family about her missing ring. The story is admittedly fast-paced with lots of silliness, but by the end, it doesn't seem that Poppy or Sam have really learned anything. Overall, I've Got Your Number is a huge disappointment as it is a book I was expecting to love. ( )

The book was cute in a typical chick lit sorta way, but was to me missing the Kinsella spin and uniqueness. [b:Can You Keep a Secret?|33724|Can You Keep a Secret?|Sophie Kinsella|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1330464293s/33724.jpg|2888997] [b:Twenties Girl|6063187|Twenties Girl|Sophie Kinsella|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1320544759s/6063187.jpg|6239469][b:The Undomestic Goddess|33722|The Undomestic Goddess|Sophie Kinsella|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1320528533s/33722.jpg|2914] all had a unique edge that set them apart from the generic Chick Lit. It was still a good ride, but my expectations from Kinsella were higher. ( )

On the evening of the party celebrating her engagement to Magnus, Poppy Wyatt’s phone was stolen and just by chance, she found a phone in the trash. Turns out it belonged to business man Sam Roxton, whose PA threw it in the trash when she quit her job. Poppy persuaded Sam to allow her to keep it and she would forward his messages thus helping her continue with wedding planning and Sam to keep up with business. Although a typical lighthearted romance, the characters were well drawn and developed as the story progressed. I really enjoyed this. My copy was an audiobook with an excellent reading by Jayne Entwistle who made a wonderful Poppy. ( )

I absolutely ADORED this book! It read like an absolutely stellar romantic comedy movie and I had to stay up all night to finish it.

Though this was a kind of typical romance, the characters were well fleshed out and I loved how they both grew. There was kind of a mystery as a sub plot as well that led to some fun detective work. I could guess the ending, of course, but this had me on the edge of my seat thinking that maybe things wouldn't work out perfectly as these characters felt like real people (and goodness knows real life doesn't work out perfectly!)

Poppy and Sam were extremely different people but both had depth and maturity. I really enjoyed seeing how they both grew throughout the knowledge. Poppy took it on herself to reply to some of his emails and to send a few of her own, which was hilarious to see. Their supreme differences led to a fun dynamic and I loved reading their texts and their interactions.

The dynamic between Poppy and her future in-laws was also a lot of fun. She made a lot of blunders, finding them to be extremely superior to her intellectually, but I was very satisfied with how the ending worked out for them.

This book was littered with footnotes, which I adored. The concept tied into the plot, and they were well placed and funny. Reading them on my phone's kindle app was a little vexing, but I skipped them in two or three chapters (when I was telling myself I was falling asleep) and didn't lose anything.

Also, more kudos to this book for being PG. I hate when romances rely on sex scenes!

I am so excited to read more of Kinsella's works. This was a fantastic book and filled with so much good-natured fun. ( )
