I've found with these books so far that none of the characters are really likable. For most of this book I just didn't really care what happened. They were all obnoxious teens. It did keep me guessing though and the two twists at the end were really good. I do have one questions though. I found this one to be a vast improvement over the first installment, "The New Girl." This one kept me guessing right up to the end and I actually gasped aloud at one of the reveals. "The New Girl" had better main characters in Cory and Lisa but the plot of this one was much more satisfying. I think Stine found his groove in the series at this point. I look forward to starting "The Overnight" next. This is my first RL Stine (I was a Christopher Pike girl as a teen). I understand why he's popular. The writing is good and the story was twisty/turny, and the ending made sense. It's difficult to not compare it to Pike's books. I feel like Stine is more down to earth and realistic, and Pike is ridiculous and outlandish-almost like Bizarro fiction light. Overall, I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would and look forward to reading more Fear Street. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
