A well written book, however, more appropriate for those with familiarity of naval convoys in WWII. I found the first half of the story very confusing as I have neither read the other two books in the series nor have a background in naval warfare or shipping.I also found it hard to identify with the characters. Enthusiasts in the field of naval warfare, however, will appreciate the tremendous detail. I found it lacking a storyline that I could really grab onto until the last few chapters. I do appreciate receiving this through the Member Giveaway program. ( )aucune critique | ajouter une critique
Appartient à la sérieJohn Mason Kemp (3)
International politics embroils Commodore John Mason Kemp when he transports a division of Australian troops to the USA for training. Australia is under threat from the Japanese, but these troops are reinforcements for Britain's war against the Nazis. Kemp also carries secret intelligence reports that could make it essential for the troops to be returned to Australia, but with one of his sons missing, and enemy pursuit of his convoy, Kemp discovers international events can be influenced by personal motive.
