Set on a grand cruise ship to England in 1887, this beautifully illustrated story of a captivating own family of mice is full of laughs, close to misses, and surprises. Multiple-award-winning writer Richard Peck at his best and most playful. Helena is a big sister mouse to three younger siblings, living a snug and well-fed life within the ancient walls of the Cranston family home. When the Cranston humans decide to sail away to England to find a husband for one of their daughters, the Cranston mice stow away in the name of family solidarity. I recommend this book to 9-year-olds and up. This is because cute characters will appeal to younger kids, but there are enough substance and whimsy to the plot and characters to keep older kids amused and interested, as well. My rating will be 5 stars out of 5 because there is something to please everyone. Such as the cuteness about the characters being told for the little kids. While the grown-ups can be interested in the romance told from a mouse point of view. Secrets A Sea is a wonderful book to read for any age because of the romance but the background story that goes along with it. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
