I really liked this one. Despite the totally unlikely storyline and the horrible lack of anyone believing Murphy was normal (including the IDIOT of a mate of his), this story got to me - in a good way. The situation, in many ways, was just too funny with Murphy's reactions to what was happening, and for some reason I found it easy to suspend my disbelief. Since this series requires a lot of that, I did not mind. And, hey, we're talking werewolves here, so how realistic can I expect this to be?

Murphy as a character was cute, if way too timid. Ludo was an idiot, but at least he stood by Murphy even though he thought he had a mental disease. Misguided, but fiercely protective, is not the worst combination I can think of.

The one thing that is beginning to worry me is the growing number of unresolved storylines at the end of each book and an increasing lack of cohesion between the volumes. I am hoping that will be resolved, and it did not take away from my enjoyment of this volume. ( )
