Todo lo que se cuenta aquí lo sabía ya por flashbacks salvo lo del chaval de Green Peace. Meh, no tendría que haberlo leído. ( ) Honestly I didn't enjoy this as much as I enjoyed Armentrout's Luxe series. Maybe because I'm fresh off reading Jennifer Estep's Mythos Academy, which has a similar enough premise for me to draw comparisons between the two. I have the first book on my nightstand to read, Half-Blood, and from all accounts its a solid read, but for the moment I'm going to move on to a different series and come back to this one. LOVED IT. One of the things I enjoy about Jennifer's writing is that her protagonist, Alex, has this no-nonsense attitude about her. She's cocky, snarky, and pretty much a badass. But she's real, too. She has such a deep bond with those whom she trusts that it's hard not to sympathize with her when things go awry. Jen's writing has such a way of drawing the reader into this world of mythical beings that it seems like we could have daimons in our own backyards and have no clue. I'm so excited about this whole series! This I had read last because I had totally forgotten about it. But it gives you great insight on how the series starts, and where she is coming from at the beginning, since for me the beginning of half blood was a little confusing, but that had cleared it up for me. I cannot wait until the next book comes out, I'm dying to read it, this is a great series. I recommend it to everyone!!! aucune critique | ajouter une critique

'Love in my world usually ended up with someone hearing 'I smite thee!' as she was cursed to be some lame flower for the rest of her life. 'For three years, Alexandria has lived among mortals-pretending to be like them and trying to forget the duty she'd been trained to fulfill as a child of a mortal and a demigod. At seventeen, she's pretty much accepted that she's a freak by mortal standards . . . and that she'll never be prepared for that duty. According to her mother, that's a good thing. But as every descendant of the gods knows, Fate has a way of rearing her ugly head. A horrifying attack forces Alex to flee Miami and try to find her way back to the very place her mother had warned her she should never return-the Covenant. Every step that brings her closer to safety is one more step toward death . . . because she's being hunted by the very creatures she'd once trained to kill. The daimons have found her.
