IDW is proud to introduce a new line of graphic novels that adapt some of the best-loved books of all-time. First up is Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book. In the Seeonee hills, a camp has just been plundered. The only creatures who are still alive are a naked little boy and Shere Khan, the ruthless tiger. Just as Shere Khan is about to pounce on the man cub, he steps on the embers of a campfire and is rooted to the spot with pain. The child takes advantage of the opportunity to escape and arrives in front of a cave where he is taken in by a family of wolves. Soon Shere Khan arrives to claim his quarry but Father Wolf refuses and declares that he will adopt the man cub and that he will become a member of the Pack. Shere Khan is furious and his life's goal will be to eat the child. Mother Wolf decides to call the latter Mowgli and he is introduced to the Pack. The old Head of the Pack agrees to allow the child to join if two members who are not his parents speak for him. Baloo the Bear volunteers and is soon followed by Bagheera the Black Panther. In the shadows, Shere Khan makes plans to destroy Mowgli. The man cub's new protectors must teach him the way of the jungle and try to keep him out of the claws of his adversary.… (plus d'informations)
