A very well thought out and researched theory from a totally different perspective. Makes a lot of sense and is probably true. The writing is a bit dense and the author adds things that detour from the overall narrative.

It's a shame that this will never be fully resolved and if indeed this is the actual way it happened, the government is equally guilty of killing JFK as Oswald is for causing the events which led to his unfortunate death. ( )

The Answer to 'Who Killed JFK' is Finally Figured Out. I've been a JFK assassination buff for decades. I cannot tell you how many books, movies, and articles I've read on the subject. To date, the best and most logical, was by Gerald Posner entitled "Case Closed." But after reading Mortal Error, that is no longer the case. All books dealing with the assassination concentrate on the conspiracy theories? None of these books ever deal with the science, the ballistics, of the murder. This book does just that. You cannot argue with the science and the facts of what are the characteristics of bullets, angles and the after-effects of bullets hitting bones, muscle, etc. This book takes a very, very deep dive into just those areas - areas that the Warren Commission and every other book never even bothered to delve into. Lee Harvey Oswald definitely shot AT JFK, but he didn't KILL JFK. JFK was killed by an accidentally fired bullet from the AK-47 of Secret Service agent George Hickey from the follow-up car behind JFK's limousine. I implore every American who cares about justice, the truth and their government to read this book. ( )

This is one of the most amazing books I've ever read. I don't have much of an interest in the Kennedy assassination, but both my Dad and my boyfriend do. My boyfriend thought that I would like the book, and boy was he right! In my opinion, it is one of the most compelling theories suggested. Supposedly the book is no longer in publication. Maybe it hit too close to home? ( )

In 1967, a Baltimore man named Howard Donahue began investigating the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Like countless Americans, Donahue was fascinated by the events in Dallas. But what separated him from other amateur sleuths, and even the Warren Commission experts, was a lifetime's experience with guns and ballistics. In Mortal Error, Bonar Menninger chronicles Donahue's twenty-five-year investigation of President Kennedy's death and the stunning revelation it led him to. In crisp, rapid-fire prose, Menninger relates one of the greatest true-life detective stories ever told. More important, he offers solutions to questions that have haunted America for 50 years. ( )
