An audio listen to this book with my family. I enjoyed this book a bit more then the last three. Characterization seems to be a bit tighter. The story structure is still very similar to the past - back to the tight, claustrophobic, fast paced beginning that never really lets up. ( )

This the eighth book in the series. Two kids rebeca and joshua plimton get kidnapped by Tod finnley. Tod is in the second book. He is a really messed up guy,and is completely obsessed with a sword. This sword is completely evil. In the second book Jim Hawkins and Garth plimton destroy it. Tod wants to go back in time and get the sword before it was destroyed. He doesn't know where to go to go back in time so he needs jim or garth to tell him, so he keeps josh and becky hostage. Other characters in the book follow him and then a big thing happens and they all end up back in time. Some end up in joseph smith times and others go back to nephite times. You probably don't know what that means but I don't really know how to explain it. There objective is mostly just to get home and reunite with eachother. It is a very good book that I enjoy a lot! I love these books! they are the only books that i have ever read and actually loved and never got bored of.
