This is where I first learned about my favorite Greek myth: Icarus and Daedalus. Great bed-time reader for children or for usage in a classroom/public library reading. Some people claim that it's a shame that some of the legends were shortened for the book- but what do you expect? It's for children and it's also used as a tool to get others to do their own research if they want to learn more. ( ) Perfect for read-alouds in the 4th grade classroom, this book fits in well with the new Common Core Curriculum! There are new standards and expectations for students learning about heroes, as well as myths and legends. Each tale is only a few pages, which means even students unfamiliar with mythology will be able to follow the stories and stay engaged. Some of the stories may be unsuitable for reading aloud, but with 101 to choose from, teachers can easily find many that will work for their particular class of students. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
