My First Animal Board Book is a basic concept book of a animals, with photos and illustrations of animals against a white background. Great for basic vocabulary, this book also utilizes interesting catagorizing and grouping skills. There are interesting pages such as "Speedy", "Spiky", or "Armored" animals. ( )

Every page or two page spread has a number of photographs of animals, in various categories - giant ones, colorful ones, farm animals, that sort of thing.

Each animal is identified by one word.

Just right for this age group, especially any baby or toddler who is really into animals. I recommend this book, and, really, the whole series. ( )
