I pulled away from some of the sex scenes. Some made me uncomfortable, but it gave me a more realistic insight to the BDSM world. The relationship between the two main character was very complex and rather believable. Not a book for the faint of heart. 3.5 stars This story starts with such a twisted and dark feeling. You feel like Logan is taking advantage of his doctor. Then you get the feeling that Kasper is the user. It really seems to go down hill from there. BUT there is such strength and redemption at the end of the story. Don't give up when it turns dark it is so worth pushing through. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

After a near-fatal accident, Logan Walker seeks help to control the compulsive blood fetish that almost cost his submissive's life. Help happens to be in the form of an athletic, smart psychologist by the name of Dr. Kasper Bromley. Kasper, though, soon finds himself swept up in the fantasies Logan came to him to control. Reluctantly throwing his ethics to the wind, Kasper submits himself to Logan, gambling his career, his future, and his heart on this intriguing man and the lifestyle he offers. But when Kasper's desires outpace Logan's, the young doctor is swept down into a whirlpool of sex and sadism that even Logan's love may not be enough to rescue him from. That said, this book is also a journey through addiction, desire, and love, and the author handles these issues spectacularly.
The stumbles and successes of the characters felt so real and believable to me. The author didn't make the characters' desires just a "I'm different and therefore special, so there!" theme. The story is much more raw and honest and, of course, shows the consequences of over-the-top limits. I really liked this book and I would recommend it to anyone who's ever felt like an outsider for their desires. And to everyone else, of course. ( )
