Chicken Soup for the Soul is the first poetry book I was introduced with in elementary. Theses series had been my teachers favorite books and that was good enough for me to start reading poetry. There are various authors that share their own stories. From a young age, I loved reading stories from others so I can build my knowledge from others. I know there will always be child like in every classroom and Chicken Soup is a great book to introduce poetry and even social problems to have a journal write or an open discussion with the classroom. Take a Stand
Even though this isn’t book itself, it’s still a neat story. It talks about standing up for what’s right and taking up for her friends. I honestly had no intentions on recommending this book, but I do recommend it for daring people who isn’t scared to take a risk. Basically this story was about a girl named Irene who stood up to her teachers because her classmates were scared of the authority. I really did like it but I didn’t like that the students didn’t have the guts to speak out. I felt as if they could have took a few lessons from Irene.

Chicken soup is a great book. There are many short stories which touches your heart. This book is good for from 6th grade till you die. ( )
