I have heard a lot off and on about how certain cases irritate an officer so much that in their spare time they tend to become obsessive with wanted to solve a case. In this book we join as he slowly crawls up the ladder in the department until he can tackle the case that always bothered him. How things were put together and solved is quite astounding.
I really believe if Lt. Paul Echols hasn't put so much time into tracking things down, many families would not have the closure they now have.
It was a VERY good read. ( )
