Would work well with older kids learning about haiku/poetry. Would work better with older kids who own cats (some things might need to be explained to people unfamiliar with cat behavior). ( ) There has been a proliferation of children's books using the art and poetry form of haiku. I love it! This book is a particularly cute example as it tells the story of a cat who is alone among cats in a shelter.
