When their friend, midwife Noelle, commits suicide, her friends discovery an entire plot of a side of her they didn't know. Very interesting with lots of twists and turns. (

When they stumble upon an unfinished letter--the only clue to their friend Noelle's suicide--Tara and Emerson discover that Noelle--a midwife who embraced life--was hiding a legacy of guilt that changes all of their lives forever.

The story switches back and forth between Tara and Emerson trying to find out why Noelle killed herself and Noelle’s backstory and the choices she made. Noelle had a lot of secrets, which was almost not believable. But between Noelle’s secrets and all the emotional situations that resulted when they were discovered, kept me very drawn in and interested in the story. I didn’t always like Noelle but I cared a lot about Tara and Emerson. I enjoyed this story a lot. (
