This book is great for early readers or those who cannot read yet. This book is wordless and displays the story through the collection of pictures on each page. The images were a bit harder to follow, and the story line was a little bit harder to understand but overall the book was very good and I enjoyed looking at each image. It is about a dog with an umbrella and the adventure they take. In a class this could be used as a fun flip through book, or a teacher could have the students depict what they think is happening in the story line. I really enjoyed this wordless picture book because it is illustrated beautifully and in a way that allows readers to create their own story in their head. I loved how all of the different places were illustrated and how all of the animals interacted with the dog. I was able to come up with a story for the main character, the little dog, and the pictures were a great guide for that. The message of adventure and a journey was definitely apparent. I love this book because it is so adorable! It begins with a dog getting curious with an umbrella and the cat watching. The dog goes through this entire dramatic adventure, then the book ends with the cat getting curious and the dog running away. This book is full of animals and hidden images (a small animal in the clouds). The illustrations are clear and creative. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

"A little dog finds an umbrella in the garden on a windy day. The moment the dog picks up the umbrella, it catches the wind and pulls the dog skywards. This is the start to fantastic journey around the world. The wind carries the umbrellas and the dog all over the world, from the desert to the sea, from the jungle to the North Pole. A wordless picture book that tells a thousand stories."--Jacket flap. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
