The author is a child pornographer and had his medical license revoked in 1986 because he was caught dealing in child pornography. This should be the first thing you learn about the author, whose book has sold millions of copies and has helped millions of clinicians learn how to read EKGs. The second thing you should learn is that this should cause you to only purchase second hand copies of the book. Do not give the child pornographer money. Luckily, the internet also offers the opportunity to download it for free in pdf form, which can be done on websites like libgen. Do that.

It's such a bummer, because the book has a lot to teach and does so very well: every page is a picture, a description of the picture and then two or three fill-in-the-blank questions that will cement your understanding of the concept.

This is an excellent choice for beginners to read and interpret EKG's. As a beginner myself, I found this book extremely easy to understand. The author has a nice sense of humor and makes learning fun. A great pick.

Good book for a first introduction to EKG. It makes reading of EKG very accessible and might even be useful later on, however, the writing style and structure of the book makes it less useful as a book to look back later.

This is the essential resource for learning how to read EKGs. It is so well written, that anyone, even someone without any medical knowledge at all can become adept after only a short time. It is a must for all medical students. ( )
