So it's ten years after the original books, and everything should be great, right? I mean, there's got to be a problem for a story, but I really wasn't expecting to be hit the way it was and to watch everyone's world's, which were already shaky, just completely crumble. Yeah, it was not what I expected to watch literally everyone fall apart, but it changes. Everyone goes on a separate journey, and in the end, they get put back together, somewhat better than before. We finally get that epilogue that we needed the whole time. ( ) I have said before I am a sucker for a series. This one takes place 10 years down the road. still loved that I feel like I know the characters. Love that it is real: it captures real emotions. Overall the book was depressing, but pulled it out in the end with a happy ending. Yes, I am a sucker for a happy ending too!!! This book is the reason all five of the Pants books are going in the donate box. What was this?! It was awful. I was angry after about 50 pages and it mounted until the halfway point when I grew numb and stopped caring about what happened to any of them. After all this time, almost 14 freakin' years, they are the same silly girls who are floundering through their own versions of life. I've invested way too much time in this series, even though I started skipping A LOT with this one. It truly felt "everlasting" and I couldn't wait to be free of it. The 5th and final book in the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series brought the series to a wonderful ending in my opinion. Yes the book was very sad at points and yes I did not always love where the book headed but I did fell satisfied and happy with where the stories ended. I felt that the author brought the characters just far enough forward where they felt resolved but also where the reader could still fill in the blanks for what might continue to happen in these characters lives. All in all this book was a breat ending to one of my favorite series.
“Pants” fans who have grown up with the girls and love them will no doubt overlook the improbabilities, unrealized characters and plot manipulations to make this a bestseller. Appartient à la sérieSisterhood (5) Distinctions
