If you've read this far nothing I have to say will come as a surprise. I have a love-hate relationship with this series. It's an enjoyable, fun read that I fly through, but I spend a lot of time wanting to throttle the MC's. In the last book Georgina and Seth patched things up and are back together. Of course this means Maddie's heart is broken and Georgina has quit the book store to avoid the glares. If only they knew she'd helped Seth cheat! Then they'd really hate both of them the way I do. Anyway... In the last book a sleepy Seth also referred to Georgina as "Letha", her original incarnation. And still Georgina doesn't get it! Her helper Erik is killed just as he reveals there is in fact something fishy about her contract(s). We've pretty much got a line by line drawing of what's going on. It could get wrapped up in a few chapters. Nah, lets make it last. In the final installment Georgina is working as one of Santa's elves, in a short, tight, shimmery outfit (wha?!). She can't seem to find a job in Seattle, but archdemon Jerome drafts her onto his demonic bowling team. Apparently that's how demons prove their bad-@ssness. Yes, it's silly and pointless, but it is amusing. When Georgina's transfer orders come in she's blown away. She's being shipped off to the devil's playland, Las Vegas. It's the perfect place to be a succubus. Turns out her best friend Bastien will be there as well and within 24 hours of being there she's handed her dream job as a dancer. The transfer is sudden even by Hell's standards, but Georgina barely blinks. Well, she moans because this will take her from Seth. It's only when she gets home to her friends that Roman is able to force her to realize she's walking right into a very pretty trap that's forcing her out of Seattle. Georgina suffers from what I call "stupid heroine syndrome" or SHS. To build suspense the author makes an otherwise intelligent woman incredibly stupid and unable to see the forest for the trees. I would assume that most of us figured out long ago that My biggest issue with this book is that the general ideas of book 5 and 6 could have been merged, resulting in one good book, instead of one okay book and one final book that dragged out the end. I am a reader who likes to read the HEA for myself, which is why I read this book. If you don't need to see the HEA in written form and can assume it this book really adds nothing new. It is a bit of a farewell to the boys though, who I'll miss. Seth and Georgina are a nice couple in that they are truly in love and a sweet couple, but oh so dense! As many before me have said, there's a lot to love and hate in these books. Overall not a series that goes on my list of books to read again. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Georgina Kincaid has had an eternity to figure out the opposite sex, but sometimes they still surprise her. Take Seth Mortensen. The man has risked his soul to become Georgina's boyfriend. Still, with Lucifer for a boss, Georgina can't just hang up her killer heels and settle down to domestic bliss. In fact, she's being forced to transfer operations..to Las Vegas. The City of Sin is a dream gig for a succubus, but Georgina's allies are suspicious. Why are the powers-that-be so eager to get her away from Seattle - and from Seth? Georgina is one of Hell's most valuable assets, but if there's any way out of the succubus business she plans to take it-no matter how much roadkill she leaves behind. She just hopes the casualties won't include the one man she's risking everything for... Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

After the way she ended her Vampire Academy series (at least the Rose/Dmitri books), I was starting to worry she was juggling too many projects, but she really pulled off her ending of the Georgina Kincaid series beautifully and inventively.
So many great moments-
It took a few chapters to get rolling, but I don’t even care. 5 stars. Hurray!
