Widely regarded as the 'Bible of Lampwork', the first two editions of 'Contemporary Lampworking' have been used as a text and recommended by lampworking instructors throughout the world. This fully revised third edition, in two volumes, features over 1500 illustrations, including detailed, step-by-step photographs and drawings as well as inspiring photographs of lampworked art. Work by almost 100 living and historical lampworkers is represented in 32 pages of full colour, the book of special interest to collectors as well as glass artists.Topics include: History of Lampworking; Studio Set-Up with Updated Suppliers and Sources; Shaping Glass Rod and Tubing; Making Beads, Marbles, Paperweights, Pendants, Bracelets and Core-Formed Vessels; Neon and Plasma sculpture; Glassblowing Lathe Techniques; Improved Annealing Procedures; Health and Safety Guidelines; Surface Decoration; Mixing and Using Coloured Glass.… (plus d'informations)

Wonderfully edifying book. I only wish there were more/better photos. A must for the lampworker- this has it all. Except big color photos. ( )
