Henry Knox: Bookseller, Solider, Patriot is a well-written biography of Knox's life up to the end of the Revolutionary War. The main focus of the biography centers around early in the war when General George Washington sent him to bring the cannons at Fort Ticonderoga down to Boston. The prose is clear and brings the struggles of the Colonists to life. The illustrations from Wendell Minor are a work of art and personalize Henry Knox and the other patriots. The illustrations of Fort Ticonderoga and the Hudson River in the dead of winter especially show how miserable their situation was. This book is a great addition to a classroom learning about the Revolutionary War. ( ) I definitely learned a lot about Henry Knox in this book. However, it had one of my pet peeves in it, and every time I came across it I just couldn't deal. Henry Knox is referred to as "Henry" throughout the book and other people, such as George Washington, are referred to by their last name. Keep it consistent people! aucune critique | ajouter une critique
