A sweet book about a parents love for their child. Mx used to ask for this book quite a bit.

This story is about how in every instance the reader needs this person, they are there with them in love. The quote from the book, “I wanted you more than you ever will know, so I sent love to follow wherever you go” sums up the premise. There is not really a plot, instead, it shows different scenarios where the reader may ever feel like they need the person. It is reassuring to the reader that they will always be thought of.

I'd give this book 10 stars. I love it! It makes me cry and I want to buy each of my boys (11 and 13) a copy and tell them "this is exactly how mama feels, keep it with you forever so you'll always know I love you."

Every new mother needs this book to read to her baby. ( )

Her illustrations are breathtakingly beautiful and match the text perfectly.
This is a lovely book to give as a gift. The text I quote, and the images copied, cannot actually create the same feeling as if turning the page and savoring the images and matching words.

The text includes sentences of wanting a little boy to know love is following him wherever he goes.
The love felt is high as wished for, and never to be out grown.
Whether climbing a mountain, or up, up to the sky, the love can fly.
Making a splash, or going out on a limb, love will be found and it can swim.
Love never gets old, never fades, and never ends.
If working, jumping, playing, sitting by friends, dancing till your dizzy, or painted till blue, there is no one place that love will not be found.

"And, if someday you're lonely,
or someday you're sad,
or you strike out at baseball or
think you've been bad
Just lift up your face, feel the wind in your hair, there is the person who loves you, my sweet baby, my love is right there!!"

My favorite part of this beautiful book is:
"In the green of the grass, in the swell of the sea, in the clouds floating by, at the top of a tree, in the sound crickets make at the end of the day.. you are loved" they all say.

"Love is so high, and deep and always right there, even when you are asleep.!"

The ending statement written by this amazing author is:

"If you're still my small babe
or you're all the way grown,
my promise to you is you're never alone!"
