The book had unique illustrations in my opinion. The way it was done was that the text was either on the bottom half of a given page, or on one side of that page, and the illustrations took up the rest. It was a great organizational feature for the pictures, and I also liked how realistic and original the artwork in itself was.
The writing was filled with new vocabulary terms for young readers to learn as well, and I thought that was a plus! The main message in this book wasn't that clear to me, as it just described a historical premise, yet if I had to pick I would say it was about being yourself. I would say this because Davy wasn't afraid to save the world from Halley's Comet by his strengths, and he wasn't afraid to approach Sally Sugartree and tell her he liked her. Overall this book was very good quality, and a good read. ( )
