This book introduces mindfulness by using situations students can relate to. It demonstrates what it means to be mindful by showing different characters being mindful in a wide variety of situations. From waiting for a turn at the slide to snuggling with a pet animal, all students can find something they relate to in this story.

Children's book to help us all appreciate everyday, the here and now in our everyday lives.

We really liked this book available through Reading Rainbow's Skybrary. The narrator was delightful, and I really appreciated the way the author described being present in language that a child could really relate to. I think we'l come back to this one periodically. ( )
