A very interesting storyline in which Peter parker becomes involved with a novice super-hero who gets a job in his secret identity at the Daily Bugle and becomes Peter's partner. Ethan is a cornbred religious hick from the farm; in an effort to learn the origin of his powers, Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four learn that Ethan is a Skrull, sent to Earth as a baby with a hypnotic suggestion to conquer the earth. This all sounds very corny on paper, but it works well, and there are quite a few intriguing subplots. One involves an ongoing feud with Wolverine; another involves a new staffer at the Bugle, a beautiful woman who was an overweight nerd in high school with a secret crush on Peter. A pretty packed collection of storylines, but they all mesh well together. Good art and dialogue, too. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Hollywood heavyweight Reginald Hudlin (House Party, Boomerang) has already brought you his searing vision for Black Panther. Now, he's teaming up with red-hot artist Billy Tan (X-23) to shake up everyone's favorite web-slinger by turning Peter Parker's life upside down. He's got an incredible new pad (you won't believe where), a new job, and - although he doesn't know it - a new nemesis who's everything that Peter isn't. But first, Spider-Man's got to deal with a more pressing problem - a shape-shifting super-villain who's developed a nasty habit... and will do anything to feed it. And wait - who's that hitting on Mary Jane!? Collects Marvel Knights Spider-Man #13-18. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

Unfortunately, the story just wasn't that good. It was dry and dull in most places. The only part that actually interested me was when the superheroes were practicing against one another, and Iron Man let Spider-Man "slip" out of his grip so Peter could go beat on Wolverine some more because he thought Logan was a jerk too. Other than that - meh. ( )
