Acting on Wordsis a rhetoric that is designed with an interlinked structure and meant to be explored from various angles, giving instructors the flexibility to begin with readings, writing practice, or grammar review, and allowing students to skip certain sections or highlight others. In one complete package, this book offers the full support needed to enhance a professor's personal approach to first-year composition. The new second edition of this indigenous Canadian text has been reorganized to highlight the expanded rhetoric section, includes an expanded discussion of argumentation, and now features increased Canadian content on topics more relevant to Canadian youth, and more representative samples from younger writers. I didn't read ALL of it, only the things that I have needed up until now for my lectures and courses. Very interesting take on different ways to write and analyse other people's writing. ( )
