The historical parts of this novel were far more appealing than the present day. The present day part seemed somewhat disjointed but I couldn't wait to see what happened with the characters in the 1860's time frame. I also found the "vodou" information interesting - not something I know much about. ( )
Back to Wando Passo contained much info historically, which I enjoy always when reading fiction. The back & forth between the present day and past was interesting, but at times did not help with the flow of the piece making the read a little choppy. ( )
