"If the Marx Brothers had been literary fantasists, they would have been Robert Sheckley." --Harlan Ellison   In "The Robot Who Looked Like Me," a busy man and a busy woman find a way to carve out time to romance each other--by having look-alike robots made to do the job--who then run away together. The twelve other stories in this collection are "Slaves of Time," "Voices," "A Supplicant in Space," "Sneak Previews," "Zirn Left Unguarded, the Jenghik Palace in Flames, John Westerly Dead," "Welcome to the Standard Nightmare," "The Never-Ending Western Movie," "What Is Life?", "I See a Man Sitting on a Chair, and the Chair Is Biting His Leg," "Is That What People Do?", "Silversmith Wishes," and "End City." "The Robot who looked like me" handler om ikke at have tid til ret meget andet end arbejde men så er der jo robotter.
"Slaves of time" er en indviklet tidsrejsehistorie.
"Voices" handler om at lade sig styre af stemmer i hovedet.
"A suppliant in space" handler om en fupmager i rummet.
"Sneak previews" handler om dating bureau date.
"Zirn left unguarded, The Jenghik Palace in flames, Jon Westerly dead" er en underlig rumkrigsberetning.
"Welcome to the standard nightmare" handler om møde med overlegen civilisation.
"The never-ending western movie" handler om et westernfilmsunivers.
"What is life?" handler om det gamle spørgsmål serveret som joke.
"I see a man sitting on a chair, and the chair is biting his leg" handler om en mærkelig sygdom.
"Is that what people do?" handler om en ægte voyeurhistorie.
"Silversmith wishes" handler om tre ønsker og tre mere og hvad så?
"End city" handler om endestationen.

Alle historierne er underlige på hver sin underlige måde. ( )

It was a gift, I hate book gifts from people who don't read and are not interested I what I read. So I sold it to a fan of the author who wanted this edition, he was very happy of the cheap price. I never attracted me.
