A story of a Colombian man who innovates to share his love of books with kids in remote villages. This novel is fantastic! The story follows a man named Luis who loves books and wants to share his love with everyone. This story is a true story and a picture book, so it can be used to introduce students about biographies. There are also many different versions of Biblioburro, so students could also compare different stories by finding similarities and differences. Luis enjoys to read and his house is packed with books, so he comes up with an idea. He buys two burros (donkeys) and place books on top of them to turn it in to a traveling library. Creative book to encourage the love of reading to young readers with this diverse book. great book for all ages, best for 1st grade and up. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

"After amassing piles of books, Luis, a voracious reader, dreams up a way to share his collection with 'faraway villages.' He starts with two burros--one for himself, one for books--and heads off. Tough terrain and menacing bandits challenge him along the way, but at last he reaches a remote town, where he holds a story hour and loans titles to eager kids before returning home to his wife and reading late into the night."--Amazon.com.
