Turun Kirjakahvila is a cosy vegan book cafe located in the historical surroundings of the old town centre. Not-for-profit, volunteer run, and co-operative. Features film nights, band nights, queer clubs, discussions, reading circles, exhibitions and whatnot. Comes with a small alternative book shop. Events are free of charge, with the possible exception of a few big music festivals held during the summer months in the Brinkkala Inner Court.
Opening hours: weekdays 11-19 (with various events often starting at 19). See the www calendar for Saturday and Sunday schedules (i.e. regular film screenings and brunches on spring and autumn terms).
