Description :: The White Tank Library is one of 19 locations in the Maricopa County Library District (MCLD). Enjoy spectacular panoramic views as you browse the bookstore-style library. Imagine relaxing with a book while gazing through a hulking living room window as you take in the desert's natural wonders before or after walking or biking the trails of the White Tank Mountain Regional Park. Kids can marvel in the wonder of a story time about reptiles and stop in the Nature Center to see the real thing. Kick-back on the eastward view outdoor patio and sip a cup of coffee. Participate in a program, check out a book, take home a movie, or purchase a used book. ALL UNDER ONE ROOF!

Each year, MCLD holds more than 6,500 free events for all ages. We run a summer reading program for more than 75,000 people, and an annual "food for fines" program that accepts non-perishable foods for local pantries in lieu of collecting overdue fines. We seek to inspire curiosity, to encourage discovery and exploration, and to help residents re-engage with their community.
