Brighton neighborhood branch of the Boston Public Library, established in 1874, moved to its current location in 1969. This spacious branch offers an excellent collection of local history materials and large print books. Help is available here as well for people learning English.

The branch holds a very good collection on local history, currently adding oral histories of Brighton residents that will soon be available online. In addition to a comprehensive basic collection, the branch holds a large collection of in large print materials. There are also Russian and Spanish reading materials for all ages. There is an ever growing collection of DVDs, Videos, and Books on Tape.

Monday 12-8, Tuesday & Wednesday 10-6, Thursday 12-8, Friday & Saturday 9-5

The Brighton branch of the BPL is currently closed for renovations and is supposed to re-open this summer (2010).
