- Description :
- The Oak Street Library provides a full-service UIUC library circulation point and a research space for patrons, especially those using materials housed in Oak Street High Density Storage.
The reading room provides a space for patrons to use Library materials, especially those housed in Oak Street High Density Storage. This is particularly useful when a patron needs to consult a large number of books, such as multi-volume sets. Unless materials are building-use only, patrons can take items home. Alternatively, they can request that items be set aside for them to use on following days. Besides tables for research and quiet study, the reading room has three public computers connected to scanners and a printer.
Oak Street High Density Storage provides temperature and humidity-controlled storage for over four million items, primarily those with low-circulation histories, duplicate copies, or items that have been digitized and are now available online. Because of the special storage conditions, it is not possible for patrons to browse the shelves. If you’d like to see the storage facility, please contact us regarding a tour of the storage facility.
The Reading Room is open from 9am-4pm, Monday through Friday. Hours are 1pm-4pm during breaks, and the library is closed on University holidays. - Ajouté par
