Description :
The Genealogy Center is located about one-half mile from the Museum of Danish America grounds. A full-time Librarian Manager and trained volunteers are available to assist with your genealogical needs.

Since the Museum of Danish America's Genealogy Center (formerly known as the Family History & Genealogy Center) opened in 1996, the center has assisted many individuals in finding links to their Danish immigrant past and has located lost relatives for both Danish and American researchers.

A significant collection of family history resources and background materials relating to Danish immigrants, settlements and institutions can be found at the Genealogy Center. Assistance is available for both novice genealogists and experienced family historians who need help with Danish research.

Translation and research services are offered. The Genealogy Center is a member of the Iowa Library Services Southwest District and is an affiliate library for microfilm and microfiche materials available through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
