It's finally happened...Der Fuhrer von Steinbrenner has passed to his reward.

I wasn't sure I'd live to see this day.

Not too sure about "his reward", but he was a big deal with a lot of quarters in his pocket.

Word is, once he passed into the next world he re-hired Billy Martin. Or maybe he fired him - I'm not sure which. But we've had thunderstorms all day.

What I heard is that St. Peter is now worrying about his job security. If Steinbrenner could fire Billy Martin . . .

If Bob Shephard was "The Voice of God" and Steinbrenner was his boss, doesn't that make him (Steinbrenner) God...
