Hi, can anyone recommend a James Madison biography? I'm looking for something that's comprehensive, yet still enjoyable to read. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

This is a belated response. (I'm new to LibraryThing.) I can recommend James Madison: The Founding Father by Robert A. Rutland. For a look at James and Dolley, too, try The Madisons: A Biography by Virginia Moore. It's been a while since I read these, but my memory is that both are scholarly and good reads.
