Thought this would be a fun idea for an ongoing thread. It's prompted by the first nominee - the American remake of "Pulse".
Based on the reviews, I thought this would be terrible, and didn't have any expectations for the DVD I got at a going-out-of-business BB. So imagine my surprise when I not only enjoyed it, I'm going to watch it again (with and without the commentary tracks).
This really is a ghost story in horror movie clothes - the color scheme, the unease inducing camera angles (esp. when anyone approaches the Appartment of the Dammed), the nature of the threat - all made me glad I took a chance on this one.
My second nominee is "Zombie Honeymoon", but what are your choices?
