Hi, I am a new (currently free) member. I am cataloging my father's book collection, and want to be sure I can download the catalog at some point so I can use it as needed outside of the website. I cannot find a way to do this in the FAQ or Help. Is there a way to download one's own catalog to a local file of some sort on my PC? Thanks for any help!

Any suggestions on how to export library from LibraryThing and import it into BookDB2 (freeware library SW)? I'll try the developers site, but maybe someone here has some tips.

I just answered my question. I didn't download in the correct format. BookDB2 will import a file in tab delimited format. (I originally downloaded in CSV format.) Now I have to figure out how to export/import LibraryThing added books without getting duplicates in the BookDB2 library file.

Hi,
I tried to download my library, but what I just did not understand is that half of the books in the list dont figure in my library. Problems with the ISBN ?

>8 dhajra: No, it is not. This is a site to catalog books, not to download them. However, if you follow the links in the right-hand navigation sidebar, you will find sites (if any) where you can purchase or download titles.

General note: This is an old topic. There have been recent changes to the exports, so the information above is out of date.
For the information about where a specific title is available as an eBook. It is useful, but not complete.

Pick your format - the ISBNs get exported in all of them :) Excel or tab delimited (that can then be opened in Excel or any other tables software) will put them in a nice column if that is all you really want.
