Dial H for Hitchcock keeps catching my eye at my bookstore, but I've not yet succumbed. What did you think of it?

Dial H is for me one of the weakest of the series. On the other hand, the "mystery a la" aspect was really clear in it, there was a lot of allusion to Hitchcock's style in the text and in the action. The ending was what disappointed me the most, but it may be because I hate that kind of trick (I don't want to tell you more because it would spoil it for you if you decide to read it). In conclusion, I'd say that if you read this series more for the curiosity of having the style of the author who's the object of Cece's biography hommaged in the mystery itself, this one won't disappoint you :o)

The second book of 2010 is a title have had in my TBR for ages... Why I didn't come to it sooner, I really don't know since I loved it. Maybe the fact my daughter went to see the movie was what encouraged me to finally read it. I will have to take a look at her second novel. Have someone here read it? If so, how is it?

I've got a copy of Her Fearful Symmetry and loaned it to a workmate over Christmas. It's coming back with the comment "interesting". I'm still curious to read it, but I'm not expecting anything as good as The Time Traveler's Wife.

I got about half way through Her Fearful Symmetry and gave up on it. It just wasn't for me. I really liked The Time Traveler's Wife though.

edited for spelling, and sorry for the double post. Somehow hit "submit" twice!

I'm sorry to hear that Her fearful symmetry is not nearly as good as The Time Traveler's Wife was. TTTW was truly one of the surprises of the year for me, and I have been looking forward to Her fearful symmetry. Good to know I should not set my expectations too high...
