Has anyone read mysteries by Walter Satterthwait? I just finished his Escapade, which has been sitting on my shelf for years, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a lot of fun, set in a 1920s English country home and includes both Arthur Conan Doyle and Harry Houdini as characters! I am surprised that more people haven't read or at least talked about Satterthwait around the Internet. I highly recommend him :-)

I have read several Miss Lizzie and Wilde West among them. I like them though I've only read one of the 'ade' books. I think he also wrote some sent in the contemporary South West, but I haven't read them.

The only thing I've read by Satterthwait is his excellent short story, "Cassoulet", altho it is not historical. If you haven't read it it's online at:
