I'm looking at the site, and I'm considering subscribing. Anybody know about the LoA? How much should I expect to pay for each volume/set? I subscribed to a couple clubs before, and I can't seem to unsubscribe, they just keep sending me materials. Am I going to run into similar problems with LoA? I picked up a couple of the LoA books for $2 each at my college library's book sale and I'm rather impressed by the quality.

Four of the LoA books I found are both volumes of the 19th century poetry collection and 20th century poetry collection. Both in excellent condition w/insert. Unfortunately, none of them have the slipcases. I know this decreases their value as collectibles. Is there any way I can get slip cases for them?

Hmm, I think the Folio Society group was talking about the LoA. I'll see if I can locate the thread.

I just stumble across one of their posts today. Group search is not exactly helpful for finding them.

so I've discovered. Just got back from Powell's, where I acquired a new, still in shrink-wrap copy of their Lovecraft volume. It was the retail edition, but its still LoA. If/when I join, I'll probably get the debate on the constitution books, although the Mark Twain Library is rather appealing as well.

Search for LoA books on ebay for bargains! These are wonderful books.

If I subscribe It'll probably be in January as a X-mas gift to myself. I managed to unsubscribe to QPB, although I unsubscribed to the SFBC and they still send me fliers. I can't seem to get out of One Spirit though. They keep claiming I have to fulfill my pledge, although why I should have to when the books are such poor quality I don't know. I should have known better than to join. Wasn't sure of the quality before, although I knew it probably wasn't going to be amazing. Subscribed anyway, found out that, just like I thought, poor quality and overpriced. It floors me that there's no way to get out of this. Seems like it should be illegal, then again, I was dumb enough to subscribe. Well, at least LoA gives me something to look forward to.
