Yankees vs. Phillies

So, it's the first time these teams have met in the World Series since 1950! (U.S. Steel vs. The Whiz Kids). I think this should be the best WS since at least 2003; Phillies, 4 games to 3.

Anybody else have an opinion?

Before last night's Game 1 throttling I was going to say Yanks in 6. Now I think it might take seven games. I've still faith in the Pinstripers, though.

I say the Yankees lose because of their chachi little wiffle ball park. That is, unless the Phillies pitching totally falls apart. The Phillies have a better complete line-up without fraudulent little nancy boys like Johnny Damon, and the Yankees pen is an embarrassment if you consider how much money they spent on their starting lineup. It's like those bogus Braves teams that had the best starting nine but absolutely no bench and couldn't win a tight WS game to save their you-know-whats. Fourteen straight division championships and ONE WS title? Where's Johnny Grubb and Dave Bergman? I apologize for bringing up an old rant but I have the same feeling about this Yankees team as I did about the Braves. Great base lineup but absolutely no support. Phillies in 6. Or so.

At this point, they're evenly matched enough with strengths and weaknesses, it may come down to who can snap out of their funk first between A-Rod and Howard.
