Coraline

I haven't yet seen the movie. However, I just checked out a copy of Coraline by Neil Gaiman from the library. Has anyone here seen the movie and read the book? What'd you think?

Loved them both. The movie looked almost exactly like I imagined it should. I was very excited when I heard who was making the movie because when I read the book I thought it needed exactly that treatment (I can't remember the guy's name--works with Tim Burton a lot). The movie has some extra stuff to fill out the length, and they gave Coraline a friend so a lot of her internal dialogue could be vocalized without her having to talk to herself. My 12 yr loves the book and only liked the movie, so I guess I'm more enthusiastic than she is.
