I wasn't really sure in which group to ask this, but if you have any suggestions they'd be appreciated!

Obviously there are some set slightly later (Lion in Winter, Kingdom of Heaven, etc) but do you know of any watchable movies concerning the events of the 1090s?

Usually anything created by the BBC can be worthwhile, I've seen one a while ago narrated by Terry Jones and featured the fantastic Jonathan Riley-Smith. This production seemed historically accurate, presented from a non-biased perspective and could cite credible sources within its bibliography. Lara

I wonder if Larahawkes meant "Terry Jones' Medieval Lives"
The book version Terry Jones' Medieval Lives

Larahawkes was referring to "Terry Jones - The Crusades" which was a 4 part (I think) documentary that started with the First Crusade and finished with the sack of Constantinople in the Fourth Crusade. A very good documentary with some interesting special effects where portraits, statues and mosaics of the major players were given the CGI animation treatment to be given speaking roles

Cheers

The Crusades appears to be on YouTube--I haven't watched it yet to see if it's complete though.
